On Stage Productions is having Auditions for the Summer Workshop High School Musical Jr on
 ( Sunday ) March 10 , 2019 at  2:30pm and Sunday April 6 or 7, 2019 at 2:30pm, at The On Stage Performance Center at 711 East Main Street at the Old Mill ( Lower Level ) Lexington SC 29072 This Workshop Show will open last week in July 2019. Orientation begins June 9, 2019. Come Prepared to sing 16 bars of music ( Bring Sheet music, MP3, or Karaoke CD ) Dress Appropriately for a dance audition and Read cold from the script. 

Disney Channel smash hit musical comes to life on the On Stage Productions stage in July 2019 .Join the jocks, the brainiacs, and thespians as they find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to their new school year. Through twists and turns and teenage intrigue, the whole school comes together as winners on stage and on the court as the Wildcats win the championship game and Troy and Gabriella emerge as true High School Musical sensations! With all of the Disney original Disney songs and Characters.

*Camp times: 10:00-12:00 noon

5 Day intensive vocal summer camp will help the aspiring or experienced singer with:
Learning to practice more efficiently
Preparing for auditions
Dealing with performance anxiety
Gaining vocal confidence
Learning how to interpret music
Learning proper body language and posture
Music theory-camp
The “Just Sing” camp is a group learning experience which will allow singers to interact and perform for others through cooperative learning and supportive feedback. 
Each chorister will leave “Just Sing” camp with several vocal audition pieces they can perform confidently anytime, anywhere. 

*Minimum enrollment of 6 choristers needed by June 7, 2019.

*Pre-enrollment is encouraged.

Camp Choristers will need to bring a snack each day (drink provided) and a 3-ring binder with paper for note taking. All other materials will be provided.

“Just Sing” camp will be taught by Debi Young, a 24-year veteran public school music specialist. In addition to years in the classroom, Debi is also is also active in community theater as a director and actor. She currently teaches voice and piano at On Stage Performance Center and Virginia Wingard Methodist Church..

2 week workshop. End of showcase will be two shows, Peter Rabbit and The Tale of Little Red & Goldilocks. Each student will be in one of the shows. 
Auditions will be March 24 ( Sunday ) at 6:00pm 

 If cast, the workshop will be $25 which will include two masterclass sessions that will be taught by the director. One will be a character building class and the other will be an improvisation class. 
The workshop will challenge the students as they put together a show in a limited amount of rehearsals as well as creating larger than life characters on stage. Students must be willing to start learning lines before workshop starts so they are prepared for rehearsals. 
Showcase will be April 12. and April 13, with 3 performances that weekend. Tickets are $10. Act One will be Peter Rabbit and Act Two will be The Tale of Little Red & Goldilocks with an intermission in between. 

The Tale of Little Red & Goldilocks synopsis:
This is the tale of Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks. Little Red is on her way to Granny’s house but in a series of strange events, she runs into Goldilocks on the way. Everything is fine until they each cross paths with the Wolf that inhabits the dark forest. 

Peter Rabbit synopsis:
In times where food is scarce, Peter Rabbit along with Mopsy, Flopsy, Cottontail, Mr. Tod, Jeremy Fisher, Jemima Puddle-Duck, and Squirrel Nutkin must go against the mean, old Mr. McGregor who won’t let anyone into his garden.
